For some people, it’s very hard to choose i+1 sentences. Don’t worry. Someone has already solved this problem for you. Glossika has a collection of 3,000 sentences, from basic to advanced English. The sentences will teach you the most common vocabulary and grammar that you need to know in order to speak English fluently. You can study the Glossika sentences with EFA cards.
In order to follow this tutorial, you must buy the Fluency123 — English Glossika program at their website, and then contact us for a set of EFA flashcards. We will send you a download link. Currently, we only have Glossika flashcards available with English-Spanish or English-only. You can use the English-only flashcards and add translations from your native language from the pdf file you will receive when you buy Glossika for your language.
How to use Glossika flashcards
Open the Anki deck and select the cards in the Card Browser.
Each flashcard contains a sentence, audio, and IPA. You can also add a translation of the sentence.
The cards are sequenced by difficulty.
Lower sequence number = easier
Higher sequence number = harder
Read the cards starting from the lowest sequence number. Dress the cards with pictures, definitions, etc.
Some cards may be too easy for you. You can keep them suspended or delete them. Before you decide to delete a card, make sure you can understand the sentence.
What kind of IPA is that?
Unfortunately, Glossika uses some kind of non-standard IPA. It’s similar to standard IPA, but a little different. It may be confusing at first but after some time you will get used to it.
